HOZON™ Nutrient Injector

  • Easily and accurately applies a consistent rate of soluble fertilizer
  • Attaches to standard garden hose fitting
  • Built-in back flow prevention should pressure fail.
  • Made with a brass body which ensures durability
  • Spring filter eliminates clogging.
  • Easy, inexpensive, and truly a time saver!

Fertilize your plants as you water! Just attach the Hozon Nutrient Injector to your hose bib and place the included hose into your fertilizer/nutrient solution for easy application. We recommend you use a pre-mixed solution at a timed rate as this injector can transfer the solution quite rapidly. Our tests show transfer rate is about 15:1 - 20:1, depending on water pressure. Manufacturer states transfer rate is 16:1. One gallon of solution can be dispensed in less than two-five minutes! Of course, that varies with water pressure.

Here's how it works:

The injector is attached to your faucet and to a garden hose. The attached suction hose is inserted into the solution of choice to be injected. When the faucet is turned on, water flows into the injector's chamber and forced into a smaller opening immediately adjacent to the suction hose port creating a siphoning effect causing the nutrient material to be drawn into the waterflow and mixed with the surrounding water effectively diluting and mixing the product for application. The newly mixed solution then travels through the garden hose to your Portable Home Garden. The hose end is attached to the garden and the mixture is fed through our distribution system to each pot. Once the mixture is used up, continue to water until desired saturation is achieved. Experiment with the injector to find the proper mix ratio and timing to work with your water system. A watering timer is also useful to help time your watering applications and aid in preventing over-watering.

Having trouble with this item? Check these problem solving tips:

Make sure your garden hose is not longer than 50 feet.
Remove the backflow preventor if one is installed on the faucet you are using.
Check to be sure you have water pressure of at least 35 psi.
Do not use the injector attached to a "Y" on your faucet.
Only use a 1/2 - 5/8 garden hose capable of six gallons per minute flow - Do not use flat or coiled-type hoses.
Make sure the siphon hose is not clogged and free of any obstructions.

If the Hozon appears to be malfunctioning do a simple test to determine that no other external conditions are effecting this device.
~ Attach the Hozon to a faucet.
~ Attach a ½ to 5/8 inch garden hose to the Hozon injector.
~ Use a small container and fill with water, put the black siphon tubing in it.
~ Turn the water on.
~ If the siphon action does occur, then there is an external problem such as is listed above. If the siphon action does not occur then the unit may be defective.
